Brad Crone

“There’s no reason that a county commissioner in rural North Carolina can’t have the same quality media as the Democratic candidate for Governor.”

Brad Crone founded Campaign Connections in 1991 with that philosophy in mind. Since then, he has produced high-quality mail, television, radio and other media for county commissioners, General Assembly members, city councilors and other local officials across the state.

Former Speaker of the U.S. House Tip O’Neill said “all politics is local.”  Today, local campaigns for down-ballot races demand the same strategic and tactical consulting required in federal and statewide contests.

Campaign Connections brings that experience to your campaign. We have unparalleled knowledge, rapid response and a dedication to winning.

Because of his experience with the newspaper, radio business and campaigns across the state, Mr. Crone already had almost unparalleled knowledge of the state in 1991. Now, after consulting on campaigns across North Carolina, he knows something about the politics of any county.

“I’m always impressed with his knowledge of my area. Any town that you mention across the state, he’s been there, knows a city councilor or is friends with the District Attorney. That knowledge is absolutely the key to his success.” – Ronnie Smith, Former State Representative from Carteret County

Mr. Crone has extensive experience in media consulting, campaign management and state government. He served as the publisher of the Thomasville Times, a daily newspaper in Davidson County from 1989-1991. Before joining that publication, he started a weekly newspaper, the Clayton Star in Clayton, NC.

Mr. Crone also served as deputy press secretary to former U.S. Senator Lauch Faircloth during his 1984 gubernatorial campaign. He later served as special assistant to North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Jim Graham. He has worked as a news editor for WPTF AM 680 and served as a consultant for WBTV in Charlotte and WLFL TV 22 in Raleigh. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University.
